Creative Spotlight: Lissa Bockrath

Embody Your Muse Creative Spotlight - Lissa Bockrath

I came across Lissa Bockrath's work early this year, and was drawn in by both her use of colour, and how her work seems to just glow...so lush.  Nature is a big inspiration for her, and that definitely shows.

Lissa works with no final vision in mind.  She prefers to work intuitively, letting the medium inform her work.  She has benefited greatly from staying in tune with her self-conscious, so that's how she prefers to work and live.  I am inspired by Lissa, and excited to introduce you to her beautiful work!

Creative Spotlight: Grace Goad

I came across Grace Goad's work through her mother, Leisa Hammett...and I came across Leisa through Jen Lee's Indie Kindred Creative Community!  I have connected with so many creatives through the Indie Kindred Community, and am so grateful and inspired by these individuals.

As you will see, Grace has autism, and her mother answered questions for her in this interview.  I am so grateful that mothers like Leisa exist in this world - what special women both Leisa and Grace are.  I don't usually do this, but I have decided to include Grace's bio here, so you can see all she has been able to do, with the help of her mother (her bio is rather amazing - you can see it at the end of this interview).

Creative Spotlight: Liz Hoffner

Creative Spotlight:  Liz Hoffner

I was introduced to Liz Hoffner through a special meal with a very special friend at Revival Kitchen last summer, and what an intro. I fell in love with the food immediately, and have looked forward to experiencing it since - next time my family and I are in PA...  Incidentally, I got to meet Liz in person at Barista Parlor in Nashville a couple months ago as well - I love meeting creatives I've interviewed.

As you'll see, Revival Kitchen is owned by Liz and her fiance, Quintin. They are both passionate about what they do, and it shows in their space, ingredient choices, community work, and food - their art!  I am so excited to bring readers both a look at their space and food, and an interview with Liz.

I met Andy Schneider's wife, Hope Lafferty, through a local writing group in Nashville.  She had so many interesting things to talk about, one of which was her husband.  I learned that he was a musician, and since I have a musical life (playing classical piano), I knew straight away that I wanted to have him on the blog.

More recently, I've come to know Andy through his "Happy Hour with Andy Schneider" variety webshow.  He sings and tells jokes...it's definitely a light-hearted time!  Andy recently launched a site on Patreon, to support his webshow as well.  Patreon is a great way to support Creatives - I hope you'll check it out.

Lisa Huelin is a family portrait photographer in Queensland, and the care she takes with families definitely shows.  As you'll see, there is a level of comfort that comes across in the families - children, especially - that she photographs.

I came across Lisa Huelin's photography on Lemonade and Lenses some time ago, and being a lover of eyes, fell immediately in love with Lisa's work.  Her entire images are gorgeous...but, the eyes...and the colours.
