Embody Your Muse - Scale Model - Danielle Shields

Scale Model is an indie rock/pop band based in Nashville, TN. They combine interweaving guitars and synthesizers with catchy vocal melodies and a danceable rhythm section to create a sound that transcends the staples of pop. They will be performing at The High Watt in Nashville on Saturday, December 6.

Scale Model is: Megan Rox - vocals/synth, David Johnson - guitar, Steve Cross - drums/programming

I met Megan Rox last year through a local coaching program, and was quickly drawn to her passion and love for music. We became friends not long after meeting, and I am so grateful for her. On stage, she is a powerhouse, and totally in a zone. Off stage she has a passion for helping people, and the knowledge to facilitate healing as well. I am excited for you to meet her and one of Scale Model's other band members, Steve Cross, on Embody Your Muse!

My guys and I met Brooke Waggoner at Grimey’s New & Preloved Music a few years ago during a Record Store Day event, and she became an instant favourite. She has such a delicate voice which perfectly overlays her intricate piano. I personally love all her music, but “Rumble” has been my definite Creative battle cry at times.

Brooke will be part of The Great Aspirations of Sun Conductor at Old Made Good in Nashville on Saturday, September 20 at 7pm. What a cool experience. I am so happy to introduce Embody Your Muse readers to Brooke!

Creative Spotlight: The Grayces

I met The Grayces - Iz Stone, Patrick Ward, and Chas Cantrell - at a friend's cd release party in Nashville. As soon as I heard Iz start to sing, I knew I had to feature them here. They have an intense presence onstage, with notable chemistry and passion.

The band has an exclusive Nashville album pre-release show at The Basement on Saturday, June 28. You can view more about the event on Facebook. I will definitely be at their show, and I hope to see you as well!
